ECONOMY-

The economy  is the most important thing in growing of the country. As of 2023 TCS is the most profitable brand of the tata group with a market capital of 11.9 lakh crore also collected the revenue of 28.26 billion US dollars from the American market in 2022-2023.

Did you know? TATA tea is India's highest-selling tea. Tetley brand acquired in the year 2000 is no.1 tea brand in Canada and no.2 in U.K. and U.S.A.. Not only this Starbucks in a joint venture with TATA in India has a market capitalization of more than 4800 crores.

Did you know? Tata with titan, sonata, Fastrack, Tanishq and titan eye-plus together are generating revenue of more than is 100 billion Indian rupee.

Besides all these TATA steel generates revenue of 2.4 trillion Indian rupee. 

TATA with its Taj, Vivanta, Gateway and Ginger hotels generates revenue of more than 4500 crores. 

Along with these TATA motors are generating the revenue of 3.5 trillion rupees.

EDUCATION-

Today, TATA is a key stakeholder in literacy efforts in India. Did you know? Their education portfolio supports 84 projects that impact a total of about 3.6 million students and teachers in 26 states and 145 districts of India. 

Tata Trusts’ most sustained and impactful intervention has been a women’s literacy programme seeded in 2002. Currently operational in the Lalitpur, Bahraich and Pratapgarh districts of Uttar Pradesh (UP), the programme has enabled more than 60,000 in the state — and in Rajasthan, Jharkhand and Bihar — to lift themselves out of illiteracy. 

Women from Dalit and tribal communities in rural regions are the initiative’s primary target. The Trusts collaborate with non-profits, chief among them Nirantar, a resource organisation working in the field of gender and education, for providing support with teacher training, learning materials, quality control, monitoring and, not least, in tackling the perennial caste and social issues that plague India. 

'Tejas' by Tata Trusts has reached some 18,000 teachers so far and is changing how English is taught and learned in rural Maharashtra. 

This Tata Trusts' programme is giving schoolchildren in Jharkhand access to a well-rounded education, crucial for these disadvantaged communities 

The 'madrasa improvement programme' has introduced progressive methods of teaching in previously custom-bound schools in UP.

Health

TATA also has a big contribution to the health care of India. Here we how-

  • The Lady Tata Memorial Trust

Established by Sir Dorabji Tata in April 1932 in memory of his wife, Lady Meherbai, who was struck with leukaemia in 1930, the Trust spends four-fifths of its income on international research, and one-fifth on research by Indian institutes into leukemogenic agents, and the epidemiology, pathogenesis, immunology and genetic basis of leukaemia. 

  • The Annapoorna Centralised Kitchen Project

The ‘Annapoorna Centralised Kitchen Project’, undertaken by Tata Trusts in partnership with the Tribal Development Department of the Maharashtra government and Bengaluru-based nonprofit Akshaya Patra cater to about 12,000 children (mostly tribal) in over 20 schools, serving nutritious and tasty meals every single school day.

  • Tata Water Mission

The Tata Trusts’ Tata Water Mission aims to provide better access to pure water and improved sanitation to six million people across 7,000 villages in India within the next three years. Over the last year, efforts are already underway in 4,000 villages, bringing fresh water and improved sanitation to one million people.

  • Milk Fortification

Tata Trusts has partnered with the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) to fortify 200 lakh litres per day (LLPD) with Vitamins A & D, by 2020. This fortified milk is consumed by an estimated 48 million people across 14 states in India. The Trusts provide financial assistance and fortificants, technical support, quality control and labelling. 

  • Tata Memorial Hospital

Initially commissioned by the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust on February 28, 1941, as a centre with enduring value and a mission for concern for the Indian people, Tata Memorial Centre set a new benchmark in 2017 when it collaborated with Tata Trusts and TCS to create the Digital Nerve Centre (DNC) set to revolutionise cancer care in the country.

  • Tata Medical Center (TMC)

The Tata Medical Center in Kolkata, India, is a state-of-the-art centre for cancer research, diagnosis and treatment. It is digitising healthcare and setting benchmarks for cancer care in the country.
