Hanuman Chalisa was composed by the Indian poet-saint Tulsidas. Goswami Tulsidas composed Hanuman Chalisa in 40 days in the prison of the third Mughal emperor Jalaluddin Muhammad Akbar. At the age of 63, Goswami Tulsidas Ji was captured by the third Mughal emperor Jalaluddin Muhammad Akbar in 1560 AD.
